課程內容： 一學期授畢之基礎有機化學，採用教科書為：P. Y. Bruice, Essential Organic Chemistry, Pearson Prentice Hall 出版, 2005（xxvi + 557pp）；參考書為：P. Y. Bruice, Organic Chemistry, 4th Edition, Pearson Prentice Hall 出版, 2004（xxxvi + 1228pp）。介紹：
1. Introduction: Organic Compounds, Bonding, Structure, Acids and bases, Physical properties, Thermodynamics and kinetics, Nomenclature
2. Hydrocarbons: Alkanes, Alkenes, Alkynes, Conjugated systems, Benzene and derivatives, Organic reactions, Stability and Reactivity
3. Stereochemistry and Reactions：Stereoisomers, Reactivity and selectivity, Radical substitutions, Ionic substitution and elimination reactions, Reactions of alcohols, amines, ethers, epoxides and thiols
4. Carbonyl Compounds: Aldehydes, Ketones, Carboxylic acids and derivatives
5. Bioorganic Compounds: Carbohydrates, Amino acids and proteins, Coenzymes and vitamins, Lipids, Nucleic acids
如時間許可，將介紹下列各專題或其中一部分
6. Special Topics: Determining the structures of organic compounds, The chemistry of metabolism, The organic chemistry of drugs, Synthetic polymers
授課方式：本課程每週授課四節，使用投影片等輔助教學，必要時發給講義。
自第二週起每週增一節為習題討論時間（週一10:20至11:10或週四13:20至14:10）。
上課地點：週一10:20至12:10，週四10:20至12:10(教室未定)
週四13:20至14:10在「普103」教室
成績評量：以至少三次筆試成績與平時表現計算
